1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage links 1 15 oz. can
tomato sauce 1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes 1 14
oz. can chicken broth 1 1/2 cup green pepper -
cut large bite size chunks 1 cup diced onion 1
tsp. salt pepper to taste 1 cup rice - cooked
Mix sauce, tomatoes, broth, salt, pepper in soup
pot. Brown ground meat and sausage. Drain fat,
transfer to soup pot. Sauté pepper and onions.
Add to soup pot. Simmer 45 minutes. Cook rice,
add to soup.
Note: Like most soups
this is better the next day.
