Ingredients:
6 medium potatoes 1 medium onion, sliced thin 4 tbl. butter 1 1/4
c. whipping cream 1 c. milk 1 c. grated Swiss cheese salt & pepper
Instructions:
Peel, slice potatoes 1/8" thick.
Sauté onion in butter in 3 qt. pan until
wilted, do not brown. Add potatoes, salt, pepper, cream and milk. (add more milk if needed to cover). Cook over medium
heat, stir occasionally until potatoes are barely tender. Put mixture in buttered shallow casserole, top with cheese. Bake at 450 degrees until cheese is brown (about 20 minutes).
