Quick Pepper Steak..........Lesley Pappa


 

Ingredients:
 
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak - 3/4" thick
2 tbl. vegetable oil
1 large green pepper OR red pepper thin strips 2" long
1 medium onion - sliced
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) Campbell beef gravy
1 tbl. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups hot cooked rice
 
 
 

Instructions:
 
Slice beef into very thin strips.
Heat 1 tbl. oil in skillet.
Add beef and stir fry until browned and juices evaporate.
Remove beef.
Heat remaining oil, add pepper and onions and cook until tender-crisp.
Return beef to skillet.
Add gravy, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
Heat through and serve over rice.
 
Serves 4.
 
Note: To make slicing easier, freeze beef for 1 hour.
