Bisquick Easy Italian Casserole..........Lesley Pappa

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 15 oz. tomato sauce
1 4 oz. mushrooms
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
8 slices American cheese

Instructions:

Grease 9x9x2 pan.
Brown beef, onion, garlic and drain.
Stir in sauce, mushrooms, sugar, basil, salt and pepper.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Mix Bisquick , milk and egg.
Spread half in pan.
Layer 4 slices of cheese, beef mix then top with remaining slices of cheese.
Drop dough on top in spoonfuls.
Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
